Natalie Thomas
Palo Verde High School – 1996-1999
Foothill High School – 1999-present
As head women’s track and field coach for the last 12 years, Natalie and the teams she’s coached have won a trophy cabinet full of awards. Consider:
- in 2004 Natalie was honored as the Southern Nevada Track & Field coach of the year
- in 2009, Natalie’s Foothills girls track & field team won the Sunrise Regional championships
Equally adroit at coaching cross country, Natalie has been the head women’s cross country coach at Foothill for the past 10 years. Some of her individual and team accomplishments include:
- Nevada cross country Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2006
- Sunrise regional cross country champions in 2005 and 2006
- team competitors in the Nevada state championships 9 out of those 10 years
- coach of a 3-time individual regional champion in 2007-2008
In addition to her role as track and cross country coach, Natalie has found the time to train with us for 6 years running. This year she’s aiming to enjoy the trip down the Strip and back in her second shot at the world’s most amazing and amusing half-marathon.
Natalie is a valuable resource to all of us in the group, and we are lucky to have her aboard once again in 2010.

Jennifer Lee
Jennifer Lee, in addition to having trained with us for all 5 years, is a certified nutritionist, a certified fitness nutrition coach and a certified personal trainer. No matter what you might think of Jennifer, don't call her uncertified.
Jennifer will be providing clinics on topics like:
- the proper diet for endurance training
- a balanced diet for weight loss


Dr. Nick Savatgy, D.C.¸ B.S.
Dr. Savatgy spends over 50 days annually volunteering in the local endurance/multisport community and mixed martial arts community; as well as at national sporting events such as Ironman Triathlons.
Dr. Savatgy is highly regarded and very respected as one of the nation’s leaders in soft tissue injuries. Dr. Savatgy works with several world champion U.F.C. fighters, NBA players, and Professional Cyclists. In his focus on sports injuries and rehab Dr. Savatgy strives to always remember that an athlete can never become a professional if they do not recover from or prevent early career injuries. That is why he works with the full spectrum of athletes from individuals just getting started to names like Forrest Griffin, Tyson Griffin, and Jared Dudley.
Personal Background
Dr. Savatgy was raised in Arizona and graduated from Kingman High School in Kingman Arizona. During high school he ran cross country and track & field where he received several MVP awards as team captain. He attended Phoenix College in Phoenix Arizona on a full athletic scholarship. While running Cross country and Track & field he had such accomplishments as ACCAC region cross country champion, 9th place finish in national steeplechase race, and cross country MVP both years. Upon graduating he attended The University of Arizona where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences. While in Tucson, he continued his competitive running by competing in road races and the Tucson Marathon, where he ran a 2 hour 52 minute marathon. Dr. Savatgy currently takes boxing at the Randy Couture’s Mixed Martial Arts Gym and continues to runs competitively in local road races. Dr. Savatgy is happily married to the love of his life and they have a beautiful German Shepherd dog. He spends his free time with his family, snowboarding, mountain biking and restoring his 1973 Datsun 240Z.
